Hand-applied visual character
Lime-based decorative plaster offers an alternative to a flat painted wall. Trowel work creates movement, changing highlights and variations that can be subtle or expressive. MacoAvell’s range includes matte Vellplas, polished Vellma and textured Vellcco directions.
Personalised colour and texture
A physical sample allows you to compare the colour, pattern and sheen before applying the material to a full wall. Two-tone work and suitable final treatments can extend the visual possibilities. Ask about current demonstrations or training if you want to develop the effect yourself.
A continuous-looking surface
Applied plaster can create a continuous appearance between planned boundaries without tile grout lines. Structural and movement joints still need suitable detailing; a seamless look is not a promise that a wall can never crack.
Minor surface variation
Texture can make some small visual irregularities less noticeable. Loose material, significant unevenness, active cracks and dampness require assessment and correction first.
Moisture and indoor conditions
The behaviour of a finish depends on its full formulation, substrate and final treatment. A lime-based label alone does not prove waterproofing, mould immunity, zero VOCs or humidity control. Request product-specific information for the conditions in your room.
Cleaning and long-term use
Use the specified compatible protective treatment where required, and follow its care instructions. Start with gentle cleaning and avoid unapproved chemicals or abrasive scrubbing. Damage and repairs should be assessed against the actual installed finish.
Choose with a complete sample
Compare the appearance in daylight and artificial light, next to the room’s furniture and flooring. Then obtain a defined installation scope and the current technical and safety documents.
