Start with the wall, not the decorative coat
Peeling paint, stains and recurring mould call for investigation before refinishing. Check for leaks, water ingress, condensation, loose paint and damaged plaster. The source of moisture must be addressed rather than covered.
Specify for the actual exposure
An indoor feature wall, a sheltered balcony and an exposed façade experience different conditions. Confirm the chosen product, substrate, preparation, protective treatment and any maintenance requirements for that location. A general statement about suitability for Malaysia is not an exterior performance specification.
Separate appearance from performance
Vellplas, Vellma and Vellcco offer different surface character. Approve their appearance with a physical sample, then check product documentation for the technical requirements of the project. Breathability does not mean waterproofing, immunity to mould or freedom from cracking.
Plan the complete installation
Have the applicator assess the prepared substrate and follow the current application sequence and drying requirements. Agree the mock-up, edges, junctions and final treatment before work starts.
Keep maintenance practical
Obtain cleaning instructions for the finished surface. Keep a record of the installed product, colour, sample and protective layer so a future repair can be assessed correctly. Do not assume a repair will be invisible.

- Is this complete system suitable for this exposure?
- What preparation and moisture checks are required?
- Which documents support the performance claims?
- How should the surface be cleaned and repaired?
- What written warranty terms, if any, apply?
