Before mixing
Confirm the base product and approved colourant supplied for it. Check the current technical instructions and safety data sheet. Protect the work area and use the specified handling and eye/skin protection. The illustrated sequence is general guidance, not a colour formula.
1. Open and prepare the base
Open the container carefully and remove any protective sheet as instructed. Use clean equipment and check the material before mixing.
2. Start mixing under control
Begin at a low speed to reduce splashing. Keep the tool under control and use the mixer speed and method recommended for the product. Do not treat the source’s instruction to switch to high speed as a universal rule.
3. Add the approved tint
Prepare the supplied colourant according to its instructions and add the approved quantity to the base. This guide does not provide or disclose pigment ratios.
4. Scrape and mix thoroughly
Scrape unmixed material from the container walls and continue until the colour and consistency are uniform. Follow the current mixing time for the selected material. Do not add rinse water unless the product instructions specifically permit that amount.
5. Check the result on a sample
Make a sample and allow it to dry as instructed before judging the colour. Compare it with the approved reference under the intended lighting. Record the supplied product and colour reference for consistent future orders.
