With over 25 years of experience in the paint and coatings industry, Alan brings a deep well of knowledge in surface chemistry, texture development, product formulation, and architectural finishes. Having worked across factory floors, design studios, and construction sites, his understanding of coating solutions spans both the technical and the aesthetic. Moreover, this expertise laid the foundation for MacoAvell’s creation of a brand rooted in quality, artistry, and material excellence. Driven by his passion for architecture, design, and the emotional power of colour, Alan launched MacoAvell to introduce premium, lime-based texture coatings made with only the finest Malaysian limestone. Every finish is designed to add depth, warmth, and timeless character to the spaces we inhabit.
What Does the Name Mean?
“Maco” represents Malaysian Artisanal Coatings, honouring the brand’s local origins and dedication to craft. Wheras AVELL is the embodiment of walls with soul—Artistry in form, Vitality in presence, Emotion in expression, Layers in depth, and a Legacy that endures. Furthermore, MacoAvell stands for a union of Malaysian craftsmanship, a celebration of walls that speak, feel, and last.
