Custom Textured Finish at Istana Negara

At Istana Negara, the custom textured finish forms a warm backdrop to richly detailed interiors. In the foyer, pale cream walls surround tall arched windows, while deeper gold-toned surfaces frame the upper landing. The dark staircase and ornate balustrades create a strong contrast with the lighter walls.

The closer views show the finish meeting white mouldings and carved timber panels. Subtle tonal movement adds depth across the broad wall areas, while the smaller wall bands connect the decorative details. In the recessed shelving area, overhead lighting draws attention to the texture and its soft variations in sheen.

The photographs also record application work at different heights, from wall sections beside the carved doors to high-level surfaces reached from scaffolding. Together, these views capture the character of the custom finish and the attention given to its transitions around the surrounding architecture.
