A single shade can appear deeper in recesses and lighter on raised areas. Ask for a representative Vellcco sample that includes the actual texture, direction and proposed sealer or wax, rather than approving colour from a flat print.

Prepare and stir
Clean and dry the surface, remove unstable material, repair defects and confirm the primer. Stir the product before application. Resolve dampness and active cracking before decorative work; a decorative finish does not repair moving cracks.
Apply the base coat
The existing page describes an approximately 1 mm coat applied evenly with a flexible steel trowel. Let it dry thoroughly before the next coat.
Build and work the texture
Apply the next coat using the agreed technique. The published method describes smoothing by burnishing when semi-dry, with a light water spray if needed; follow the approved sample and current instructions.
Dry and protect
The published guidance allows at least 24 hours before finishing treatment and states 24 hours before recoating or waxing. Apply the specified compatible treatment and buff as required.

Surface preparation and special-substrate notes
Retained from the existing page: clean and dry the surface, remove wallpaper and loose or peeling paint, repair defects, spot-prime where appropriate and dull glossy coatings.
The older acoustic-tile guidance says to remove embedded dust, avoid blocking perforations, and trial adhesion on vinyl-coated tiles. It also suggests no primer to preserve acoustic performance. That is a special-case statement—not a blanket instruction for every substrate. Obtain system and substrate approval.
The original page warns that water-based plaster can loosen or deteriorate blown-on soft-fibred ceiling finishes. Do not proceed on an unknown ceiling surface from a visual guess or a generic decorative-paint instruction.
Health, VOC and performance statements
The source pages include low-VOC, low-odour, durability, breathability and, on some pages, 0% VOC, formaldehyde-free, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial wording. Numerical, health and antimicrobial claims need current evidence before promotional use. The new page does not convert those source statements into certification badges or universal safety guarantees.

How is Vellcco different from Vellplas?
Vellcco is the textured stucco and travertine-effect direction. Vellplas is the softer cloudy matte direction. Choose with both visual and tactile samples.
Can Vellcco be used outdoors?
The existing FAQ includes exterior use and recommends a protective finish. This does not approve every substrate or exposure: obtain a complete project-specific system.
Can it cover cracks?
Do not use a decorative finish to hide active movement or an unresolved wall defect. The existing FAQ notes that underlying cracks, excessive thickness and drying conditions can cause problems.
Will clear wax leave the colour unchanged?
Do not assume that it will. A protective treatment can change the way a textured surface looks. Approve the complete sample, including the proposed topcoat.
Can I make a travertine effect?
The existing Vellcco page identifies travertine as a possible effect. The result depends on the technique; approve a sample made by the intended applicator.
How much material should I order?
The published reference is 35–50 sq ft per 5 kg, but the selected relief and coating build affect consumption. Confirm a trial yield before placing a full-project order.
