Quiet texture. Beautiful movement.
Vellplas is the matte Marmorino choice in the MacoAvell collection. Use its softly changing pattern as a backdrop for timber, fabrics and architectural lighting, rather than treating the wall as one flat block of colour.
The pattern is formed during application, so the look should be agreed with the applicator as well as the colour. Compare a restrained cloudy sample with a more expressive sample before deciding how much movement belongs in the room.
A restrained cloudy finish can sit quietly behind furniture; stronger movement can turn the same wall into a focal point. Compare samples under the actual lighting and beside flooring, cabinetry and upholstery.

Prepare the wall
Clean and dry the surface, remove loose paint or wallpaper, repair defects and dull glossy coatings. Confirm a suitable primer and stir the product. Resolve dampness and active cracking before decorative work.
Apply the first thin coat
Use a round-edge trowel and remove excess at about a 30° angle. The existing page gives an 8-hour drying interval, while the FAQ says 24 hours; obtain the current product-specific schedule.
Create the cloudy pattern
Use overlapping long and short strokes, fill voids and remove high spots. Match the texture and matte appearance to the approved sample.
Confirm the finishing method
The old page includes high-gloss burnishing instructions, which conflict with the matte product name. Confirm the correct matte method and any finishing wax before application; do not treat the old high-gloss step as the default.

Reference values are not guaranteed coverage or approved site instructions. Confirm the full selected system and trial yield: thickness, porosity, texture, conditions and wastage affect consumption.
Surface preparation and special-substrate notes
Retained from the existing page: clean and dry the surface, remove wallpaper and loose or peeling paint, repair defects, spot-prime where appropriate and dull glossy coatings.
The older acoustic-tile guidance says to remove embedded dust, avoid blocking perforations, and trial adhesion on vinyl-coated tiles. It also suggests no primer to preserve acoustic performance. That is a special-case statement—not a blanket instruction for every substrate. Obtain system and substrate approval.
The original page warns that water-based plaster can loosen or deteriorate blown-on soft-fibred ceiling finishes. Do not proceed on an unknown ceiling surface from a visual guess or a generic decorative-paint instruction.
Confirm the current matte application method
The old Vellplas page specifies a 15–30 minute wait before high-gloss burnishing, followed by at least 24 hours before finishing wax. This conflicts with the Matte Marmorino product identity and is retained here as a source discrepancy, not the approved default application.
The duplicated benefit label “Cloudy Texture” above the easy-application description has been corrected in this page layout.
Health, VOC and performance statements
The source pages include low-VOC, low-odour, durability, breathability and, on some pages, 0% VOC, formaldehyde-free, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial wording. Numerical, health and antimicrobial claims need current evidence before promotional use. The new page does not convert those source statements into certification badges or universal safety guarantees.

What pack sizes are available?
Vellplas is available in 10 kg and 25 kg packs. The supplied product artwork shows the 10 kg tub; the pack selector also includes 25 kg.
Is Vellplas matte or glossy?
The product is named Matte Marmorino. Its existing page contains conflicting high-gloss text, so the final method must be checked against the current approved TDS and your matte sample.
Can it be applied over an existing painted wall?
The existing FAQ includes sound painted walls as a possible substrate. Loose, chalky, damp or unstable coatings need investigation and preparation before the decorative finish is selected.

Can it go outside or into a shower?

Will the whole wall look exactly like a small sample?
A sample is the agreed design reference, but the larger surface will have hand-applied variation. Agree pattern size, direction and acceptable movement before work begins.
How do I choose between the two pack sizes?
Send the approximate wall area in sq ft and the intended texture. MacoAvell can advise on a practical pack combination after the coating build and wastage allowance are agreed.
